Cub Scout Pack 300

Boy Scouts of America (BSA) was established in 1910. It's mission: To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law
A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

First established in 1924 as Cubbing, Cub Scouts is a year-round family-oriented part of the BSA.  The Cub Scout Motto is Do Your Best.  Together, following the mission set forth by the BSA in 1910, parents, leaders and our chartered organization work to guide our scouts to Do Their Best to achieve the 10 Purposes of Cub Scouting.

1. Character Development
2. Spiritual Growth
3. Good Citizenship
4. Sportsmanship and Fitness
5. Family Understanding
6. Respectful Relationships
7. Personal Achievement
8. Friendly Service
9. Fun and Adventure
10. Preparation for Boy Scouts

Cub Scout Pack 300 has been chartered with the Lakeview District of Longhorn Council through Grapevine Church of Christ since June of 1979.  Pack 300 welcomes all youth from kindergarten through fifth grades to visit one of our monthly Pack Meetings and experience Cub Scouting through the Family Scouting Program.  Our Pack Meetings are held the last Friday of the month (unless holidays conflict) at 6:30pm at the Grapevine Church of Christ Fellowship Hall (525 N. Park Blvd, Grapevine).

The Cub Scout Pack is broken down into ranks by grade level and then into dens of 6-8 scouts.

Kindergarten - Lion
1st Grade - Tiger
2nd Grade - Wolf
3rd Grade - Bear
4th Grade - WeBeLoS I (working on Webelos badge)
5th Grade - WeBeLoS  II (working on Arrow of Light badge)

Each den meets once a week to work on the adventures in their individual handbooks.  Once a month all the dens meet together for our Pack Meeting to receive recognition for their accomplishments, participate in fun activities together to reinforce the theme of the month (one of the 12 points from the Scout Law) and to create a bond with each other through fellowship and cooperation.
