Lewisboro Troop 1 Boy Scouts!

We are looking forward to another year of Scouting!
If you think you may be interested in Scouting, we encourage you to join us at any of our regular meetings!

Troop 1 Lewisboro is open to all boys aged 11 to 18 or that have completed the 5th grade who are looking for ADVENTURE and also to develop leadership skills, provide service to our community, and to learn important outdoor and life skills.  Friendship, fellowship and comradery come with team building and shared challenges.  The Troop currently has 30 active Scouts and many trained adult leaders.

Check out our calendar for our meeting schedule and for the types of activities you can look forward to as a Troop #1 Scout.

Meetings are weekly on Tuesday evenings during the school year in a convenient South Salem, NY location.

Scouts look forward to an average of two special activities per month which may include hikes, campouts, fishing, boating, skiing, volunteer opportunities and service projects.

All registered Scouts may look forward to spending the first full week in July at Read Scout Camp and Reservation in the Adirondack Mountains.

Joining the Troop

If you are interested in joining the Troop, please take the time to print out and fill in the attachments and return them at the next regular Scout Meeting.  All Scouts are required to attend at least one meeting before joining and we encourage Scouts to attend several meetings and consider participating in a weekend activity before committing to make sure Troop #1 is a good fit.

The medical form can be returned at a later time, but is needed for participation in the Troop's regular activities.

Dues for the calendar year are $120, payable by check made out to "Lewisboro Troop #1".  The first year dues will also pay for a Class B Tshirt and a Neckerchief.  Dues cover most activity fees (cost of materials, night hike fee, camp out registration, park entrance fees, etc) unless otherwise noted.  Scouts are responsible for acquiring their own uniform and official BSA Handbook.
